Why I'm Building Tools for the Art World
I've spent years working at the intersection of technology and creativity. What I kept seeing was the same problem over and over: the tools available to artists, photographers, and visual creators were either too expensive, too complicated, or built by people who didn't understand how creators actually work.
Artists shouldn't need to be software engineers to protect their work with a certificate of authenticity. Photographers shouldn't have to upload private files to some random server just to strip EXIF data. Creators shouldn't have to pay enterprise prices for tools that solve simple, everyday problems.
That's what OPN8RMS is about. Every product I build starts from the same place: a real frustration experienced by a real creator. Creative CoA came from watching artists struggle with provenance. Mamo came from the need to present artwork professionally online. Local Toolkits came from the conviction that your files should stay on your machine.
I'm building with intention. Not every tool needs to be a platform. Sometimes a focused, well-made utility is exactly what's needed. That's the kind of software I want to put into the world — tools that respect the people who use them.
